Commonly grown by many gardeners, thousands of varieties of all different shapes, colours and sizes. Don't plant Tomatoes in the same soil two years running as it can cause a build up of diseases

Tomato Growing Notes

Sowing

Sow in pots in early to mid spring, and then plant out into grow bags, beds, or greenhouses in mid to late spirng.

Pruning & Thining

Support the plants as they grow and pinch out the tops when they get to the top of the supports. Keep well watered on a regular basis, and feed every couple off weeks. Remove side shoots.

Harvesting

Pick and eat when ripe. Late ripening plants can be laid down and covered with cloches to protect from frosts.
