Broad Beans Growing Notes
Sowing
In late autumn sow the overwinter varieties, and the rest can be sown at the end of winter into spring. Sow in a grid with each seed 25cm from the next. Select a spot that is sheltered from strong winds.
Pruning & Thining
Pinch out the tops of the plants when the first pods start to form.
Harvesting
Pick the pods when the beans have swollen inside, and eat them immediately, or frozen.
