Re-design, Like it or hate it?
As you can see the Gardeners Calendar has under gone a makeover. What do you think? Do you love it or hate it? Let us know! We have had in the past several comments about the text not being easy to read, and the colours have merged on some of the pages, so we have changed the colour scheme to have more of a contrast. We also had comments about not being able to navigate the content easily. This was a restriction based on the horizontal navigation bar at the top of the screen. So we replaced that with a vertical navigation bar on the left. Every page can now navigate to every page, which is not only better for our visitors, but Google seems to like it more too!
Hopefully you like the changing images at the top of every page. We are planning on placing a new set on the pages every month, and this will form the basis of a 'Name the Plants' competition in the future. We are currently looking for sponsors to provide prizes for 'Name the Plants', in return for a run of site advert for the duration of the competition. That would be the equivalent of a £2000 advertising cost, so the prizes need to be a bit more special than a pair of gardening gloves. Want to sponsor us? give us a call, or send us a message.
